How long have you been in business?
Carts & Parts was established in 2007 in Union City, IN, with an ownership change in the Spring of 2020.
Is it true there was an ownership change?
Yes, Carts & Parts was bought from Eugene and Shirley Thomason in 2020. They started the business in their garage many years ago and built it to the dealership it is today. How To Decide
Gas or electric?
Here’s the quick answer.
Even though electric golf cars are more popular now than gas-powered carts, it is essential to determine the cart’s purpose before making your decision. In other words, you don’t want to purchase an electric golf cart because everyone else is.
Electric carts have become more popular due to increasing environmental concerns and improved technology, such as lithium batteries. However, gas carts are more appropriate for some purposes because they can travel much further than an electric cart. Gas-powered carts make excellent choices for farmers and sports enthusiasts who want to roam the open trail.
But if you plan to tool around the neighborhood or use it for its original golfing purpose, then electric is a better choice.
Consider the Pros and Cons.
We are happy for you to come in and have a cup of coffee with us, and we’ll talk gas versus electric until the cows come home.
Fast or slow?
If you want to go fast, you might prefer a gas-powered golf cart. Gas carts are faster than electric carts running around 18 – 20 mph. Electric carts that are powered by batteries typically travel at speeds of 12-14 mph. The good news is that we can enhance your golf cart speed with upgrades and improvements. Just ask for more details.
Do you sell street legal carts?
Yes, we sell street-legal golf carts. LSVs (low-speed vehicle), like the E-Z-GO
2FIVE has a maximum legal speed of 25mph. And just so you know, all street-legal cars are electric according to law. They also must have additional safety equipment such as seat belts, turn signals, side mirrors, reflectors, and AS5 Plexiglas or better windshield.

How do I know your used carts are good?
In many ways, pre-owned golf carts can be good as new, but with a much better price tag!
Our trained technicians remove the guesswork for you when purchasing a pre-owned golf cart. Each golf cart is examined from top to bottom. Major components are replaced, creating a golf cart that looks and drives like new.
Each pre-owned golf cart is inspected inside and out to improve and replace worn and damaged parts such as:
- Batteries & Cables
- Wheels & Tires
And of course, we can add anything else you like to make your purchase perfect for you.
How Do I Pay
How much are your golf carts?
Let’s start by saying that since our dealership is located in the small town of Union City, Indiana, we have low overhead. Low overhead means we can keep our prices conservative to save you big money.
It’s difficult to quote a price range for golf carts since many factors go into their cost, including accessories and other customizations you may make.
Your budget is what’s essential when deciding on your chosen golf cart. We offer a revolving credit offer or a fixed installment loan to meet your financing needs.
Do you offer finance?
Golf Cart financing is similar to a car loan, which includes any parts and accessories you may want to add. You can choose from a revolving credit offer or a fixed installment loan to meet your financing needs.
You can complete a secure application right online for easy processing. When approved, you will receive a certificate that you bring in to us. And then the fun begins!
I have an old cart. Can I trade it in?
We will offer you a fair price for your golf cart that you would like to sell or trade. Bring your golf cart in to discuss, or we can come to you. And don’t worry if your old cart is not working or needs repairs. We will purchase or trade as is.
Selling a golf cart yourself can be a time-consuming hassle, much like selling a car. There are so many factors you have to consider to make sure you’re making the right decisions. It’s a lot of trouble figuring out what your cart is worth, finding buyers to haggle with, and hope there are no future complaints.
Luckily, Carts & Parts makes it easy for you to obtain a golf cart appraisal to sell or trade your used golf cart. Instead of trying to find someone to buy it from you, let us make the process easier. Contact us today!
Do you take cash?
Yes, we take cash to purchase a new or used golf cart. We also offer cash if you’re selling a golf cart.
Does a warranty come with your golf carts?
We believe success is directly correlated with excellent customer satisfaction, which includes providing a generous warranty for our new golf carts.
Pre-owned golf carts come with a 100-day warranty from the date of purchase from defect. Please know that used batteries do not come with a warranty.
During your warranty period, we will fix any issues due to defects. No questions asked.
Will you deliver my golf cart?
Yes, we can deliver your new or pre-owned golf cart within our service area free of charge.
What are your credentials?
Not everyone can sell new E-Z-GO golf carts. To become an authorized E-Z-GO dealer, you must qualify through strict protocols, which include employing dedicated E-Z-GO trained technicians.
Are you family-owned or a big corporation?
We are a local family-owned business in the small town of Union City, Indiana. As a small business, we don’t have multiple tiers to go through for decisions or forced to alter our values. We are casual here doing things the old fashioned way like answering our phone. Our golf cart shop is just big enough to meet your needs but small enough to consider you part of the family!
Do you know any golf cart jokes?
Of course we know some golf cart jokes since golf carts are our business!
Here you go.
Driving a golf cart isn’t that hard.
I got it down to a tee.
A pro golfer overheard two guys discussing their game. He was curious about what they were referring to since he thought he knew everything there was to know about golf.
Pro: “I’ve been playing golf for a long time and thought I knew all the terminology of the game, but what’s a rider?”
Player: “Oh, a rider is when you hit the ball far enough where you need to get in the golf cart and ride to it.”
When is the golf course too wet to play?
When your golf cart capsizes.
Do you know why golfers prefer a golf cart over a caddy?
Because a golf cart can’t count, criticize, or laugh.
Now it’s your turn. Come on in and tell us your best golf cart joke!
